6th January.
Back to reality . Here we are in full Lockdown again.
Over Christmas and the New Year we managed to have a little fun.
Sadly we received news that one of our most popular Frockers Deborah Horabin lost her fight with cancer,it was devastating news. Deborah sparkled positivity and will be missed by the group. This Friday We have asked if everyone dresses in sparkles as tribute to Deborah. we send our love to her family too.
Over Christmas we also received sad news about Diane Okrainetz from Canada who had submitted a picture back in May but hadn’t told her family. She died of a heart problem in June. On Christmas Eve a parcel arrived at her husbands home in Canada he didn’t really understand what this book was or what it was about. His daughter in-law looked up Frock Up Friday and found out it was a group about dressing up. Diane loved to dress up. The daughter-in-law then looked through the book and found the picture of Diane. It made the family feel the book had been a special Christmas gift from Diane and it helped them through their first Christmas together without her. I know all of the group will be sending love to Diane’s family who were devastated by her sudden death. We are glad that in some small way our book ,helped Diane's family through their first Christmas without her.
This week has been a difficult one with all the lockdown news and rising cases of covid19 in the UK but in #frockupfriday land we wore clothes of extreme hope and joy. Clothes with wonderful memories attached or clothes that gave us hope for the future and it’s lifted our spirits and given us genuine hope. So while we are going through such tough times let’s keep hope and joy alive by being like Deborah and Diana keep frocking up and keep positive. These two people are sadly missed but they left us an important keep looking good and keep joy and hope in our lives.
